We began discussing this project in 2014. I don't remember if our discussions waited until after we purchased the cabin or if it was during our first walk-through. Either way, we knew the tub (no shower) wasn't ideal and there was a better way to use the space! As we completed many smaller projects, our network of specialists, contractors, handymen, etc grew. We discussed it more and more with everyone we met. Lots of positive comments and suggestions, but everyone knew it was a big project. Finally in 2017 after we had updated living room furniture, replaced the last of the beds, and did some maintenance under the cabin, we decided 2018 was the year for BIG THINGS! On January 2nd we requested proposals for granite counter tops and started sourcing shuffleboard tables. Both were installed before the end of January. We also noticed the cabin was booking faster for the year than it had the previous 4 years, so we said if we are going to remodel the bathroom, we need to get it scheduled asap! During the granite counter top install, we met with a few contractors to look at the space. A week or so later after reviewing the proposals, we selected Tennessee Kitchen and Bath to move forward with. Jan and Daryl really understood our vision and created a great space we know guests will enjoy!
Below is the remodel picture story for each day. Thanks for checking us out!
This design varies from the original proposal - as we looked at it, if we move the commode from its original spot, we could create a stall with privacy making the bathroom usable for more than 1 person at a time
